Monday, 27th April 2020: Changes to the environment (reading)
- Here you will find a text about the „changes to the environment caused by the covid 19-pandemic“. Read it carefully.
- (-> into your document) Der Text erklärt, dass sich die Natur im Moment sehr erholt, weil die Menschen durch die Pandemie sich zurücknehmen müssen. Erkläre auf Deutsch, was der Text sagt: a) Was kann man in der Natur beobachten? b) Woran liegt es, dass die Natur sich erholt? Unter der Überschrift „Wie sich die Natur ändert in dieser Corona-Zeit“ schreibe einen kurzen Text auf deutsch.

Thursday, 30th April 2020: reported speech (Grammar)

Es gibt die direkte und die indirekte Rede – jemand spricht direkt oder jemand erzählt, was der andere gesagt hat. z.B.:
- direkte Rede, Peter spricht: „I love my holidays – they are so cool!“
- indirekte Rede, ich erzähle, was Peter gesagt hat: „Peter said, that he loved his holidays – they were so cool.“
Schauen wir uns mal an, was grammatikalisch im Übergang von der direkten Rede in die indirekte Rede passiert:
- I love my holidays -> he loved his holidays. I/my wird zu he/his. Klaro, oder? Peter sagt „Ich liebe meine Ferien“ und ich sage „Er liebt seine Ferien“. => Anpassung der Person
- I love my holidays -> he loved his holidays. Love wird zu loved. Auch das ist klar. Wenn ich erzähle, was Peter gerade gesagt hat, ist es ja schon Vergangenheit. => Anpassung der Zeitform in die Vergangenheit (backshift).
Nochmal das Beispiel zum Mitdenken – achte auf die Anpassung der Person (fett gedruckt) und auf den zeitlichen backshift (unterstrichen):
- direkte Rede, Peter spricht: „I love my holidays – they are so cool!“
- indirekte Rede, ich erzähle, was Peter gesagt hat: „Peter said, that he loved his holidays – they were so cool.“
- (-> into your document) Copy the examples from page 173.
- (-> into your document) Do the 6 test yourself sentences.
- (-> into your document) Practice this and write the correct sentences into your document.
- (-> into your document) Now write 10 new examples like this: Peter: „I like my shoes“ – „Peter said, that he liked his shoes“:
